Retired Seattle Police Officers Association

RAP | Retired & Active Police

RAP meets every Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Nile Country Club, 205th & Interstate 5.

APRIL 11, 2019

On the day after the monthly retired officers’ meeting a small gathering of men returned to the Nile for our weekly get together.  At Noon Joe Sanford rang the bell, President Green led the pledge of allegiance then called the meeting to order.

A big welcome to Don Hillard attending his first R.A.P. meeting.

For the beverage drawing Joe had Don mix up the plastic chips.  And the winning number is 10 belonging to Riley Brice.  Enjoy your drink Riley.

Dick Rovig is still at Swedish Hospital after undergoing surgery for removal of his gall bladder.  A “Get Well” card was passed around for all to sign.

Our treasurer reported last week the club brought in $13.00 bringing the checking account balance up to $2680.00.

This week none of our members celebrated birthday’s.

Bill called for the Severance ten-dollar drawing.  Jim Johnson stirred up the chips and picked number 14.  The money goes to Rudy Sutlovich.

In the absence of our Prince of Mirth, Jim Johnson, Jr. stepped up with a good story about a truck driver stopping by the local brothel.  When leaving the madam promised to “keep an eye out for him”.

John Guich collected $85.00 to give away.  Past-President Nordlund reached into the plastic jug and came out with ticket stub #2243302.  The cash goes to the man who collected the money.

Congratulations of all our winners.  Next week is the opening day golf scramble.  Because our president is playing in the tournament, John Guich volunteered to run the meeting.
