APRIL 25, 2019

On a nice Spring day twenty-eight men and women signed in for the weekly R.A.P. Club meeting.  At 12:00 Noon Al Nelson rang the bell.  Mike Fann led the pledge of allegiance.  President Green called the meeting to order.

A big hello to John Patrick Sullivan.  Also, good to see Bill Kroon in the crowd.

Bill called for the beverage drawing.  Joe Sanford asked Bill Kroon to mix up the plastic chips.  Out came number three.  A check of the logbook showed Jerry Taylor’s name on line three.

In news from the desk of Dan Oliver, sorry to report Peg Rinker, widow of Jack, passed away on April 3rd at age 88.  This coming Saturday there will be a memorial for Peg at the Nile beginning at 2:00 pm.  Don Hagen #1297 passed away on April 9th.  Don was 91 years old.  Also, Bob Rice #2031 died on April 17th.  Bob was 89 years old.

Treasurer Nordlund reported for the last two weeks the club generated no money.  The checking account balance remains at $2680.00.

This week Michael Burke #3140 celebrates his 74th birthday.  Happy birthday Mike.

The president called for the Severance ten-dollar drawing.  Joe asked Shawn O’Kinsella to pick the lucky number.  And the winner is John Nordlund who today signed in on line 10.

In the absence of our real Prince of Mirth, Greg Goldwyn and Ivan Feilberg stepped forward with cute stories.  Greg’s story was about peeing in the shower.  Ivan followed up with a story about peeing in the swimming pool.

Once the laughter died down, Paul announced he collected $115.00 to give away.  He had Annette Schenck mix up the ticket stubs but asked Roy Skagen to pick the winning number.  And the number is 2243498 purchased by Cloyd Steiger.  The remaining dollars go to Merv Henderson holding lucky ticket 2243460.  Congratulations to all our winners.

See everybody next week…
