RAP meets every Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Nile Country Club, 205th & Interstate 5.

APRIL 27, 2017

Dry weather prevailed once again as a crowd estimate of around thirty R.A.P. club members filed into the Red Room inside the Nile building to enjoy another week of friendship and good conversation.  At 12:00 Noon everyone was startled by the forceful ringing of the club’s bell by Cory Ness.  Well done Cory.  The ringing was followed by President Greg Pote leading the group in reciting our country’s Pledge of Allegiance.

Greg welcomed back Jerry Jorve from the desert.  Good to see The Greyhound back in attendance.  Also, Cloyd Steiger gave a ride to Ed Striedenger.  Next month Ed will be retiring after 37 years of service.  To escape from Seattle, he has found a nice place to live right next door to Grand Coulee Dam.

For the Witkowski beverage drawing Bill Green asked Ed to pick the winning chip.  Out came number four belonging to our friend Dave DeMoss.

From the desk of Dan Oliver:  Mike Germann is now recovering at home.  Dick Sherwood says that Emil Drovetto says hello to everybody.  Jerry Jorve reports that Denny has lymphoma and is very weak.

Treasurer Guich says the checking account has $2516.08 and today is Michael Burke’s 72nd birthday.  Happy birthday Mike.

President Pote called for the five-dollar giveaway.  Cloyd picked out chip number 81.  After Bill checked the sign-in book he realized the number was 18 belonging to Eric Michl.

In the absence of the real Prince of Mirth, Mike Severance started the laughter with a story about a blond girl in grade school who was a little more mature than her classmates.  Cory Ness followed by telling us the qualifications for being a police officer.

For the raffle, Treasurer Guich collected $115.00.  For the big bucks, Nick Bulpin reached into the plastic jug and pulled out ticket stub 3755800 purchased by Jay Nicholson.  The remaining dollars went to Dick Sherwood holding ticket number 3755902.  Congratulations to all the winners.
