APRIL 29, 2021

On this solemn day after learning of the death of Past President Bill Green, twenty men and women signed their name to the official logbook.  At 12:00 Noon Greg Pote rang the bell, Eric Michl led the Pledge of Allegiance followed by President Nordlund asking the crowd to remain standing for a moment of silence in remembrance of Bill.

Under “Long Time No See” great to see Ted Gromley in attendance.

For the beverage drawing, Joe Sanford asked Jim VandeBogart to stir up the chips.  And would not you know it, out came chip #6 belonging to Jim.  Enjoy your drink.
Last week Dick Sherwood reported that Ed Stovall suffered a stroke.  Good to hear that he is recovering.

From the pension office, Dan Oliver reported that Bill Green experienced heart problems on Tuesday serious enough that he was admitted to the hospital.  Wednesday morning Bill suffered a major fatal heart attack.  Rest in Peace Bill.  A sympathy card was passed around for all to sign and will be sent to Barbara.

Our treasurer reported last week the club brought in $13.00.  Checking account now up to $1490.00.

This week Michael Burke #3140 celebrates his 76th birthday.  Happy birthday Mike.

Now for the Ness ten-dollar drawing.  Kevin O’Keefe mixed up the plastic chips pulling out #1 owned by Past President Ron Chapman but today belonging to John Guich.

Not a proper day for jokes so onto the raffle.  Paul collected an even one hundred dollars.  Our server Gina reached into the plastic jug coming out with ticket stub #5436319 purchased by Eric Michl.

Congratulations to all the winners.

Even if Governor moves Snohomish county back to Phase II, R.A.P. will be allowed to continue meeting.  See everybody next week…
