Happy Valentine’s Day. As the snow and ice is slowly melting the roadways are finally safe to drive resulting in seventeen men making it to our weekly meeting. At 12:00 Noon VP Green rang the bell, Shaun O’Kinsella led the pledge of allegiance, and President Nordlund called for order.
To get things rolling with the beverage give away Bill asked Al Nelson to mix up the plastic chips. Out came number 16. Bill checked the logbook and discovered his name on line 16. A call to our server Gina and before you knew it a vodka tonic was in front of him.
In news from the desk of Dan Oliver, sorry to report that Frank Vick lost his wife Elaine. Elaine was 83 years old.
Our treasurer reported two weeks ago the club brought in $20.00. No money from last week’s meeting. The checking account balance is around $2061.00. As always, subject to audit.
Last week Cory Ness celebrated his 67th birthday. Kathy made a birthday cake for all to share. Jim VanDeBogart turned 72. And a special birthday, Mike Severance’s father Colonel Dave Severance, USMC Ret celebrated his 100th birthday. This week’s birthday’s include Bill Kroon who turns 88 and Jim Tagart will be 80. Happy birthday men…
Time for the Severance ten-dollar drawing. Bill had the President stir up the chips. And the winner is Dave DeMoss who signed in on line one.
Time for the laughter. Paul Barden stepped forward with three good stories.
Paul retained the floor to proceed with the raffle. Ninety dollars was up for grabs. Dick Sherwood reached into the plastic jug and came out with ticket stub #2242052 purchased by Dave DeMoss. Congratulations again to Dave.
Thanks to everybody for braving the weather and to the Nile personnel for being here. See everybody next week…
