FEBRUARY 24, 2022

Today’s meeting saw twenty-nine men and women sign their names to the official logbook to enjoy another get together of friendships and good conversations. At 12:00 Noon, Merv Henderson rang the bell, Eric Michl led the pledge of allegiance, followed by President Nordlund asking for order and welcoming all. Great to see Dean and Liz Quall in the crowd. Dean is recovering from a fall in which he fractured his pelvis.

For the Pepper Pramhus ten-dollar drawing, Joe had Dean mix up the chips. Out came #28 belonging today to Dick Rovig.

In news from the pension office, sorry to report this week we lost Bob Moffett, Jerry Bickford, and Nat Crawford. Bob passed away on February 19th at age 88. Jerry died on February 21st. He was only 74 years old. And Nat Crawford passed away yesterday at the age of 87. May they all Rest in Peace. Also, it was learned that Mike Burke #3140 while visiting relatives in Florida fell and seriously injured his leg. While being treated for his leg injuries doctors discovered he had a heart problem that led to a pacemaker implant. We all wish Mike a speedy recovery. Dick Sherwood reported that Shaun O’Kinsella is doing well after his heart procedure.

The treasurer reported last week the club brought in $34.00. Checking account now up to $2491.00.

Gene Birkeland is celebrating his 81st birthday this week. Happy birthday Gene.

Now the Cory & Kathy Ness ten-dollar giveaway. Sandi Mount stirred up the chips handing Merv Henderson the money after discovering he signed in on line 17.

Pepper Pramhus and Paul Barden entertained the crowd with jokes from the official R.A.P. joke book.

For today’s raffle, Paul collected $150.00 to hand out. Liz Quall reached into the plastic jug coming out with ticket #9886898 held by our server Gina. The remaining dollars go to Dave Hortin after Al Nelson pulled out ticket #9887019.
