JULY 25, 2019

Attendance was down a little for today’s meeting. Twenty-three men and women signed the official logbook. At 12:00 Noon, Joe Sanford rang the bell followed by Paul Barden leading the pledge of allegiance. President Green welcomed everybody thus the start of today’s meeting.

For the beverage drawing Joe asked Annette Schenck to stir up the plastic chips and pick Nick Bulpin’s number. Out came number six (or is it nine) belonging to Nick Bulpin.

Last Thursday Dave Ritter suffered a stroke. After a few days in the hospital, Dave is now back at home recovering. A “Get Well” card was passed around the everybody to sign.

The treasurer reported last week the club brought in $114.00. That amount may seem high only because an anonymous R.A.P. supporter slipped the treasurer a hundred-dollar bill. Our checking account balance is $2394.00.

No birthdays to celebrate this week.

Time for the Severance ten-dollar drawing. Jerry Taylor stirred up the chips only to pick his own number eight.

Bill called for jokes. Greg Goldwyn stepped forward with a cute story taking a selfie when the wife is not in the mood.

For the raffle, Paul collected $105.00 to hand-out. Annette reached into the plastic jug pulling out ticket stub #3743269 purchased by Jim Sharkey. The remaining five dollars goes to Dave DeMoss holding ticket #3743321. In a showing of generosity Dave donated his winnings back to the club.

Don’t forget the white elephant gifts for the picnic on August 8th.

Marty Spotanske has some nice furniture he would like to give away. If you or somebody you know needs a sofa, hutch, or a television stand give Marty a call at 206-365-2262.

Congratulations to all the winners and see everybody next week…
