JUNE 29, 2017

On a great day to be playing golf, 23 R.A.P. Club members signed in to enjoy another week of friendship and good conversation.  At straight-up Noon Cory Ness rang the club’s bell followed by the pledge of allegiance led by President Pote.

Greg welcomed back Cory and Kathy Ness from Cuba.  Also hello to Dennis Hossfeld.

For the Witkowski beverage drawing Cory asked Jerry Taylor to pick the winning chip.  Today the number is eight belonging to Joe Sanford.

In news from the Pension Office, Dan is seeking information about Bud Bodwin #1957 who passed away earlier this month.  If you knew Bud please call Dan.

Dan Melton reported that Emett Kelsie had knee surgery, developed heart problems and is still hospitalized at Swedish.  Nick said that Ernie Randall took a couple falls and is not doing well.  Finally, Dave Hortin is being released from the hospital today after undergoing cancer surgery.

Our Treasurer Guich is still hiding in California but he did send a message saying that on June 25th Mike Germann had is 75th birthday and that on Saturday, July 1st Jerry Taylor turns 79.  Happy birthday men.

Greg said it was time to give away five dollars.  Cory had Dennis Hossfeld pull out the winning chip.  And the number is one belonging to Ron Chapman.  Being that Ron was not in attendance, Cory used Ron’s number.

Cory and Kathy reported on their cruise to Cuba and what it is like to live under Communist Dictatorship.  The infrastructure has not been improved since the revolution in 1959.  The populist is allowed one chicken and one gallon of milk per month.  The cars are colorful but if you look closely they are a miss mash from different models.

The jokes today came from Kathy and Cory.  Kathy told everybody about a man with golf balls in his pocket sitting next to a blond who asked if it hurt as much as tennis elbow.

Today Joe Sanford had control of the raffle.  The payout will be $60.00 and $50.00.  For the big bucks Jerry Taylor pulled out ticket number 9614038 purchased by Dan Melton.  The remaining cash went to President Pote after Nick Bulpin picked ticket number 9613983.  Congratulations to all our winners.

See everybody next week…
