MARCH 16, 2017

In who knows how many days the clouds parted allowing the sun to shine through to greet twenty-four R.A.P. club members for another week of friendship and good conversation.
Vice President Pote rang the bell and President Green led everyone in reciting our country’s pledge of allegiance.

Bill welcomed all and recognized Roy Burt who is attending his third meeting making him an official R.A.P. club member. Roy politely turned down the offer to address the crowd. Welcome Roy and look forward to seeing you each week.

For today’s Witkowski beverage draw Greg had our newest member pull out the lucky chip. And the number is 16 belonging to our president.

In news from the pension office, Gary Kunkle #2900 passed away on March 11th. Gary was 72 years old.

Treasurer Guich reports the bank has $2564.38 of the club’s money. There will be no audit. This week Myron Maxwell celebrated his 90th birthday. Happy birthday Myron.

Jerry Taylor advised there is still no movement in the legislature regarding the TERS/LEOFF 1 pension merger. There is always the possibility it can be brought up as a budget item.

Eric Michl told us the police guild and city appear to be honoring the confidentially clause as there is nothing to report on contract negotiations. The city was embarrassed when the earlier contract was published in the Stranger news gag.

For today’s laughter Treasurer Guich had a story a college class being assigned to write a short story. Paul Barden told everyone about a friend’s wife who will only offer sex twice a week.

Being that today’s attendance was low, Paul only collected $105.00 to give away. For the big dollars, Jerry Smith drew ticket stub #2255951 held by Past President Ron Chapman.
Ron in turn picked ticket #2256082 handing the five dollars to his table mate Tom Caldwell. Congratulations to all the winners.

See everybody next week…
