MARCH 18, 2021

R.A.P. is back.  Today we had 27 Long Time No Sees sign their names to the official logbook.  Great to see familiar faces, renew friendships, and engage in good conversation.  Gina was there awaiting to take drink and food orders.

At 12:00 Noon Joe Bouffiou rang the bell, President Green called the meeting to order.  Bill asked for a moment of silence to honor those who have left us this past year.  Treasurer Nordlund informed the crowd of the passing to two widows.  Marie Franzen, surviving spouse of Bob Franzen #3088, passed away on March 8th.  Marie was 73 years old.  And Jennie Wubbens, surviving spouse of Marv Wubbens #1041, passed away on March 13th.  Jennie was 100 years old.  Jennie was memorialized by Joe Bouffiou and via email Jan Brandes.
Time for the beverage drawing.  Cloyd asked Jim Johnson to stir up the chips.  Out came #26 today belonging to Jerry Taylor.

Bill called for the treasury report.  Nordlund dusted off the check book and reported the club has $1416.00 in the bank.
Celebrating birthdays this week are Hank Gruber and Ted Rovig.  Hank turns 79 and Ted is twenty years younger at 59 years old.  Happy birthday men.

President Green called for nominations for the position of president for the upcoming year.  Joe Bouffiou nominated John Nordlund.  Dan Melton moved the nominations be closed.  A vote was taken and Nordlund was elected president.  Bill was presented a plaque honoring his service for the past two years.  His name was also added to the club’s President Plaque.

Now for the Ness ten-dollar drawing.  Dennis Hossfeld mixed up the plastic chips and pulled out number 7.  A quick look at the logbook showed Paul Barden the winner.

Nobody had any jokes to offer, so let the raffle begin.  Paul collected $110 to give away.  Caroll Wedlund reached into the plastic jug and came out with ticket stub #6937459.  After a long pause, Bill Green realized he was the winner.  Bill then pulled out ticket #5435381 and took the remaining $10.00.

See everybody next week…
