RAP meets every Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Nile Country Club, 205th & Interstate 5.

MARCH 25, 2021

For our second meeting after the governor lifted some of his restrictions, twenty-four men and women returned to the Nile to enjoy another round of friendship and good conversation.  Nice to see Caroll Wedlund with us along with Dave Hortin, Jim Johnson, Jr, Merv Henderson, and Dean Quall.

Right at 12 Noon Past President Greg Pote sounded the bell.  President-Elect Nordlund asked Eric Michl to lead us in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, thus beginning the official meeting routine.

For the beverage drawing, Eric asked Roy Skagen to stir up the chips.  Out came #22 today belonging to Dick Rovig.

Under the Sad News department sorry to report that at last week’s meeting Mike Severance suffered a mild stroke.  He is now home recovering.  Jim Muir is back home after receiving cancer treatments and Mark Bisson has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

Our treasurer reported last week that club brought in $21.00.  Checking account balance now up to $1487.00

Today is Dave DeMoss 81st birthday.  A card was passed around for all to sign.  Happy birthday Dave!

Time for the Ness ten-dollar give away.  This time Dan Melton mixed up the chips and came out with #13, Merv Henderson’s lucky number.

No jokes to be told so on with the raffle.  John Guich collected $125.00.  For the big bucks Caroll Wedlund reached into the plastic jug retrieving ticket stub #5435550.  Without hesitation Dan Melton claimed the money.  For the remaining cash Joe Bouffiou pulled out ticket #5435561 held by Caroll.

Congratulations to all the winners.  Mark your calendars for the return of the RSPOA meeting scheduled for April 14th.  RSPOA is picking up the bill but reservations are required.
