The meeting room was filled today with thirty-four men and women enjoying another week of friendship and good conversation. At 12:00 Noon soon-to-be president Greg Pote rang the club’s bell. President Green led everybody is reciting the pledge of allegiance.

Bill thanked all for putting up with him this past year saying it was an honor to serve as president. Thank-you Bill.

Great to see our Prince of Mirth back in attendance along with Bob Little and Bill Kroon.

For the Witkowski beverage drawing, Greg asked Joe Bouffiou to pick the winning number. The winning number is 16 belonging to our soon-to-be past president.
In news from the pension office: Yesterday Faye Ready widow of Melvin Ready #568 passed away at age 95.

Treasurer Guich reports the bank has $2604.38 of the club’s money. Today is Ernie Randall’s 89th birthday. In honor of Ernie, daughter Lynn brought cake to share. Happy birthday Ernie!!

Jerry Taylor says it appears that the LEOFF I/TERS merger has slipped by the State legislature. But the employer’s contribution to the LEOFF II pension is being revamped.

Mayor Smith reported on his unsuccessful attempt to lobby our State’s representatives in Wash. D.C. The system is dysfunctional. It was a total waste of his city’s funds.

Bill called for the five-dollar give away. Greg had Riley Brice pick the lucky plastic chip.The number is 22, handing Dan Melton the money.

Today was Comedy Central. Our Prince of Mirth started with a husband and wife driving through Louisiana; Cory Ness had a fifth-grade class assignment to write a story with a moral; Kathy Ness raffled off a dead horse; Paul Barden told us about a store in the Mall owned by an immigrant; Mike Severance reported on a female golfer who wasted her money on lessons; John Nordlund described two golfers competing for the Polish Club Champion.

For the raffle, Paul collected $135.00. For the big bucks, Bob Little picked ticket #2256107 held by Joe Bouffiou. Joe in turn gave the remaining dollars to Treasurer Guich holding ticket #2256049. Congratulations to all the winners.
