MARCH 9, 2017

For this week’s meeting twenty-five men and women signed in to enjoy a couple hours of friendship and good conversation. Vice President Pote rang the bell at straight up Noon followed by President Green leading the group in reciting our country’s pledge of allegiance.

Bill welcomed back Hank Gruber, Jim Sharky and late arrival Rusty Leslie.

For today’s Witkowski beverage drawing, Greg had Jim Sharky pull out the winning chip. Once again number one is the winner and this week Ron Chapman was present to collect.

In news from the pension office, Al Rasmussen lost his wife Ann. Ann passed away on February 3rd at age 87. Also, passing on the same day and at the same age was Dick Herdeck #1494. Mike Severance told us that he made his first felony arrest when he was working with Dick. Dick also schooled him about talking on the two-way radio.

Treasurer Guich reported the checking account balance is $2545.38. This past week Dan Van Mill had his 77th birthday and Bob Little turned 70.

Bill said it was time to give away five dollars. Greg asked Kathy Ness to pick the lucky number. She chose number sex handing the money to Nick Bulpin.

In the absence of the real Prince of Mirth, Cory Ness started the laughter with a story about an unhappy golfer, Kathy followed by telling us about a good wife parking the car on the street in the snow. John Nordlund told the group about Polly the dead parrot and the vet bill.

For today’s raffle Paul collected $115.00 to give away. Kathy reached into the plastic jug and retrieved Paul Giersch ticket number 3755064. (Two weeks in a row for Paul.) Jerry Smith collected the remaining money by having ticket number 2255920. Congratulations to all the winners.

See everybody next week.
