MAY 12, 2022

On the day after the monthly RSPOA meeting, twenty-one men and women returned to the Nile to enjoy another R.A.P. get together. On schedule at 12:00 noon, Merv Henderson rang the bell, somebody led the pledge of allegiance, followed by President Nordlund asking for order. All familiar faces in the crowd so onto the V.P. Pramhus ten-dollar drawing. Al Nelson mixed up the chips and picked #15 belonging today to Judi Smith.

Nothing to report from the pension office. Steve O’Leary’s Celebration of Life will be here at the Nile on Saturday beginning at noon. And Marc Olson’s memorial service will be held on Sunday on Camano Island.

Our treasurer reported that last week the club brought in $16.00. Checking account now has $2659.48.
Celebrating his 77th birthday this week is Al Nelson. Happy birthday Al.

Onto the Cory & Kathy Ness ten-dollar drawing. Jim Johnson, Jr stirred up the chips choosing #3 causing Cloyd Steiger to raise his arm to claim the cash money.

For the laughter to begin, John Guich and Paul Barden offered stories provided by our Vice President about a Mexican bookstore and a trained parrot. Excellent job.

Today’s raffle had $115.00 up for grabs. Nick Bulpin reached into the plastic jug coming out with ticket stub #8387613 held by our server Gina. The remaining cash goes to our Vice President holding ticket stub #8387109.

Congratulations to all the winners, see everybody next week.
