MAY 16, 2019

Under mild overcast skies, twenty-five men and women signed the logbook for this week’s meeting. Continuing the tradition at 12:00 Noon Cory Ness rang the official bell, everybody stood in anticipation of President Green leading the pledge of allegiance.

Bill welcomed everybody. Nice to see Cory and Kathy Ness back in the crowd.

The president called for the beverage drawing. Joe Sanford asked Joe Bouffiou to mix up the chips. Out came number 14 belonging to Joe Bouffiou. Nice draw. (Only a preview of what was coming.)

No news from the pension office. Good to hear that Dick Rovig is now back home.

Treasurer Nordlund informed the gathering that last week the club brought in no money. The checking account balance remains at $2688.00.

As far as birthdays, this week no R.A.P. members are celebrating.

Time for the Severance ten-dollar drawing. Joe had Shaun O’Kinsella stir up the plastic chips. The winning number is 15. The ten-dollar bill goes to Ron Haviland.

The president announced it was time for jokes. Both Kathy and Cory stepped forward. And both had cute stories about men and women in bars.

Now for the raffle. Paul collected $105.00 to give away. Annette Schenck reached into the plastic jug coming out with ticket stub #3742016. The big money goes to Joe Bouffiou. For the left-over cash Joe pulled out ticket stub #3742013 purchased by who else Joe Bouffiou. Congratulations to Joe and Ron.

See everybody next week…
