MAY 23, 2019

Under warm sunny skies twenty-seven men and women signed in for this week’s meeting. At 12:00 Noon Past-President Nordlund vigorously rang the bell, President Green led the pledge of allegiance then called the meeting to order.

A big hello and welcome back to Dick Rovig. Also, great to see Jim Fisk and Bob Little in the crowd. Annette Schenck introduced her son Bruce. Thanks for attending Bruce and welcome to all.

To get the ball rolling with the beverage drawing, Joe Sanford had the president mix up the chips. The lucky number is one belonging today to Dave DeMoss.

In news from the pension office, sorry to report that Jackie Minion passed away on May 11th at age 89. Jackie was the secretary in Narcotics for several years and the mother of Kay McArthur. Bob Lowman’s wife Rosemary has passed away. There will be a memorial service for Rosemary in July at the Gold Mountain Golf facility.

The treasurer informed the crowd last week the club brought in $15.00. Checking account balance up to $2703.00.
And this week Drew Dowd is celebrating to 75th birthday. Happy birthday Drew.

Bill now called for the Severance ten-dollar give away. Joe asked Jim Fisk to stir up the chips. The winning number is five belonging to Hank Gruber.

In the absence of our real Prince of Mirth, John Guich and Greg Goldwyn stepped forward. John told a story about a man at an auction paying top dollar bidding on a parrot. Greg followed with the advantageous and disadvantageous of going to hell.

Once the laughter died down, John announced he had $120.00 to give away. For the big dollars Hank Gruber reached into the plastic jug and came out with ticket stub #3742079. The winner is President Bill Green. The remaining dollars goes to Jim Johnson who purchased ticket #3742113. Congratulations to all our winners.

See everybody next week…
