NOVEMBER 8, 2018
For today’s meeting twenty-five members signed in to enjoy friendship and good conversation. At the appropriate time Cory Ness rang the bell, President Nordlund led the pledge of allegiance and welcomed everybody. Hello to Jim Johnson, Jr. up from Arizona visiting his dad.
As always, the first order of business is the Witkowski beverage drawing. Vice-President Green asked Shaun O’Kinsella to stir up the chips. The number is 12 today belonging to Eric Michl.
In news from the pension office, sad to report that John Leitch #1243 passed away on November 3rd at age 88. Also, Jack Nuckolls #2140 passed away on November 3rd. Jack was 84 years old. Eric Michl remembers Jack being the South Precinct Juvenile Detective.
Our treasurer reported last week the club brought in $4.00. That cash money brings the checking account balance up to $2423.00.
Birthdays this week include Ivan Feilberg who turns 91, Dick Hume is now 85 years old, and yesterday Dan Oliver celebrated his 74th. Happy birthday men.
Now for the Severance ten-dollar drawing. Kathy Ness mixed up the plastic chips and pulled out number three. A quick look at the log book showed Joe Sanford’s name on line three.
In the absence of our Prince of Mirth, Kathy stepped forward with a cute story entitled “Redneck Love Poem”. Paul Barden followed by telling us about his friend Sarah who is in the fertilized egg business.
Today Paul collected $110.00 to give away. Jim Johnson, Jr. reached into the plastic jug and appropriately pulled out his dad’s ticket stub #8493448.
Don’t forget next Wednesday is the monthly RSPOA meeting. Good time to sign up for the Christmas lunch set for December 12th.
