PENSION OFFICE NEWS

  • The SPOG 2020 pay raise calculations for Prior Act (pre LEOFF) pension increase has been done. You should have seen it on the February City check. Remember, it will be adjusted downward after the April State COLA.
     
  • No word yet what the April LEOFF I COLA will be.
     
  • There are still about 40 outstanding 2020 Reporting forms that need to be returned to the Pension Office. If you are one of them, please get on this ASAP.

New Retirements

There are no new retirements to report this month.

Wives & Widows

Lynn Rouse, wife of retired Seattle Police Detective Glenn Rouse #2418, passed away on February 15, 2020 at the age of 72. No memorial service is planned.

Dores Robinson, wife of deceased retired Seattle Police Detective Don Robinson #1204, passed away on January 27, 2020 at the age of 98.

Florence Rothaus, wife of deceased retired Seattle Police Patrol Sergeant Don Rothaus #947, passed away on February 12, 2020 at the age of 100 years and five months.

Friend and Fellow Employee

Mike Trocha #3667, retired Seattle Police Community Service Officer #13 passed away on February 13, 2020.  He was one of the original CSOs hired on December 15, 1971. He was retired when the City abrogated the unit for budget savings on October 3, 2003. Like many of our Vietnam veterans, he suffered from the effects of Agent Orange.
