PENSION OFFICE NEWS

  • The yearly Reporting Forms packet will be coming out shortly. Remember, two of the forms must be notarized for sworn retirees. Widows only need to notarize one of the forms. This must be done before handing them in at the RSPOA monthly meeting or mailing the forms to the Pension Office. Due to new notarizing procedures, we will be unable to notarize them at the meeting.
  • Attention – Prior Act eligible officers, the contract settlement for SPOG has hit a snag, so “excess benefits” calculations are on hold because the Pension Office has not received the Guild salary schedules for 2015 through 2019.
  • Don’t forget the RSPOA Christmas Luncheon is on December 12, 2018 at the Nile. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. Make sure to make your reservations with John Nordlund at 425-482-9722, or jkenneth2909@gmail.com  Cost is $20.00 per person, the proceeds to go to good causes.
  • The Pension Office was hacked!! If you are receiving an email(s) from Jan or Stephanie from the Pension Office regarding “Docusign” and directing you to open Drive One, delete the message immediately, and delete it from your trash as well. Do not respond in any form to the email. It appears legit and official, but this is a sophisticated phishing attempt. It may lock you out of your computer and compromise your files. If you have questions about any email, please contact Dan Oliver at daniel.oliver@seattle.gov
