Take a moment to remember our friends and associates who have passed.

Don Daniels #1879 passed away in the hospital early Wednesday morning, April 23,2014. He was 85 years of age upon passing.

He was born August 9th 1928, in Ainsworth, Nebraska. Don grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, where he graduated high school at age 16. After serving for a period of time in the U.S Army Air Corps/Air Force, Don attended the University of Washington majoring in speech and psychology.  He subsequently received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound.
 
Don began his career in 1958, with the King County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff. Shortly thereafter, he joined the Seattle Police Department, where he served for 30 years, ultimately retiring with the rank of Captain in 1988.
 
After retiring from the Seattle Police Department, Don remained an active member of the Footprinters, Keystone Cops, Shriners, LEOFF 1 Coalition, WSLEA, FBI NAA, as well as many other organizations. He also enjoyed several competitive activities, such as bowling, billiards, table tennis, checkers, and various other games with family and friends.
 
Don is survived by his wife of 47 years, Vi, one son, four daughters, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
 
Funeral Information
 
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 1st, 12:00 pm at Evergreen/Washelli chapel Seattle, WA - followed by a reception at Ballard Elks.
 
Rather than flowers the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society or Shriner Hospital for Children.
