FEBRUARY 10, 2022

On the day after the RSPOA meeting, a large crowd returned to the Nile to enjoy another R.A.P. meeting.  Twenty-nine men and women signed the logbook.  Once again at 12:00 noon, Greg Pote rang the bell, Cindy Stovall led the pledge of allegiance, followed by President Nordlund banging the gavel and welcoming all.  Nice to see Patty Pote with us.

To get things rolling with the Pepper Pramhus ten-dollar drawing, Joe asked Riley Brice to pick the winning number.  Out came #16, once again this week belonging to Pepper.

In news from the pension office, sorry to report that Joel Hayes #2247 passed away.  Joel was 88 years old.  And, Merv Henderson lost his wife Jan to cancer.  A sympathy card was passed around for everyone to sign and will be sent to Merv.

Our treasurer reported that last week the club brought in $29.11.  Checking account now up to $2427.50.

Celebrating birthday’s this week are Cory Ness, Jim Tagart, and Jim VandeBogart.  Cory is now 70, Jim is 83, and the other Jim is now 75.  Happy birthday men.

And for the Cory & Kathy Ness ten-dollar giveaway, Barbara Green stirred up the chips and chose #3 belonging to Rita Guich.

Now for the laughter, Pepper described the problems with a rear wiper on a new SUV.

Eric Michl told the crowd how the city is screwing around with retention bonuses.

For the raffle today, Paul collected $145.00 to hand-out.  Dick Rovig reached into the jug coming out with ticket stub #9886548 held by Hank Gruber.  The remaining cash goes to Dave DeMoss holding ticket stub #9886444.

Congratulations to all the winners.  See everybody next week…
