A nice crowd for this week’s meeting. Thirty-one men and women signed in to enjoy companionship and good conversation. Great to see Jim Geiser (aka Hash) in the crowd. On schedule at 12:00 Noon, Greg Pote rang the bell, Nick Bulpin led the pledge of allegiance followed by President Nordlund pounding the gavel on the table (no podium today) asking for order.
For the Pepper Pramhus ten-dollar drawing, Joe asked Al Nelson to pick the winning number. Al chose #17 handing Dennis Hossfeld the cash money.
Marc Olson has been hospitalized. A “Get Well” card was handed around for all to sign and will be sent to Marc. Dick Sherwood reported Shaun O’Kinsella is having a pace maker implanted and Roy Skagen informed the crowd that Dean Quall is improving and hopes to attend next week’s meeting.
Jerry Taylor reported that the Enhanced Benefit Bill has passed the Senate and now working its way through the House. Call your State Reps and urge them to support the bill.
Our treasurer reported last week the club brought in $29.50. Checking account now holds $2457.00
Celebrating his 91st birthday this week is Bill Kroon. Happy birthday Bill.
For the Kathy & Cory Ness ten-dollar drawing, Joe asked Cindy Stovall to stir up the chips. Cindy chose #28 handing Dave Hortin the cash money.
Pepper Pramhus had a cute story about an officer in the hospital after suffering a heart attack, having his life extended after meeting with God only to be run over by a bus.
Big bucks for today’s raffle. Cloyd collected $180.00 to hand out. Sandi Mount reached into the plastic jug coming out with ticket stub #9886606. Cloyd hustled back to his table discovering he had the winning number. The remaining dollars went to Dick Rovig after Gina pulled out ticket #9886808. Congratulations to all the winners. See everybody next week…
