Retired Seattle Police Officers Association

RAP | Retired & Active Police

RAP meets every Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Nile Country Club, 205th & Interstate 5.

FEBRUARY 3, 2022

At today’s meeting, thirty men and women signed the official log-in book.  Past President Greg Pote rang the bell, Mark Mount led the pledge of allegiance followed by President Nordlund asking for order.  Good to see a large crowd and nice to see Barbara Green attending her third meeting making her an official R.A.P. Club member.  Also, hello to King County Deputy Robin Wilcox.

Joe Sanford announced that after two years of chemotherapy treatment he is free of cancer.  Great news!
For the Pepper Pramhus ten-dollar drawing, Al Nelson stirred up the chips and picked #16, appropriately belonging to Pepper.

In news from the pension office, sorry to report that Donna Brazel passed away.  Donna was 94 years of age.  Also, Steve O’Leary’s “Remembrance Party” will be held here at the Nile on Saturday, May 14th.  Dave Hortin reported that while crabbing, Dean Quall fell and fractured his pelvis.

Our treasurer informed the crowd that last week the club brought in $23.00.  Checking account now up to $2398.39.

Celebrating her birthday this week (actually tomorrow) is Pepper Pramhus.  Records show she will be 50.  Happy birthday Pepper and thanks for your contributions to R.A.P.

Time for the Cory & Kathy Ness ten-dollar drawing.  Jerry Taylor mixed up the chips and chose his own number 14.

To start the laughter Pepper had a couple of cute stories taken from the official police joke book.

Paul collected $150.00 to give away.  For the big bucks, Robin Wilcox reached into the plastic jug retrieving ticket stub #9886349 held by Hank Gruber.  Henry retrieved ticket stub #9886401 handing our server Gina the remaining cash.

Don’t forget next Wednesday is the RSPOA meeting.  Joe Bouffiou’s daughter-in-law Judge Valerie Bouffiou will be the guest speaker.
