Retired Seattle Police Officers Association

RAP | Retired & Active Police

RAP meets every Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Nile Country Club, 205th & Interstate 5.

On the day after the RSPOA meeting, twenty-seven men and women returned to the Nile to enjoy companionship and friendly conversation at the weekly R.A.P. meeting. Today, Past President Greg Pote rang the bell, Cindy Stoval led the pledge followed by President Nordlund asking for order.

Good to see Mike and Jennifer Deacy attending. Also, Patty Pote is in the crowd.  And welcome to all.

For the Pepper Pramhus ten-dollar drawing, Joe asked Hank Gruber to mix up the chips. Out came #23.  A quick look at the logbook showed Greg Pote the winner.

In news from the pension office, the Medicare reimbursement checks are being mailed.

Our treasurer reported last week the club brought in $22.00.  Checking account now up to $2346.39.

Celebrating their birthdays this week are Riley Brice, Jim Fisk, and Chuck Pillon.  Riley is now 90 years of age, Jim is eighty-four, and Chuck is now 81.  Happy birthday men.

Time for the Cory & Kathy Ness ten-dollar drawing.  Greg Pote stirred up the chips and came out with #16, belonging to Pepper Pramhus.

Nobody had any jokes to offer, so onto the raffle.  Today Paul collected $145.00 to give away.  Cindy Stoval reached into the plastic jug retrieving ticket stub #6958988 held by Dick Sherwood.  Dick, in turn, pulled out ticket stub #6958801 handing Hank Gruber the remaining cash. Congratulations to all the winners.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Due to a large function being held at the Nile, next week’s R.A.P. meeting will be moved to Friday, January 21st.  See everybody on Friday.
